Police Escort – Kumari Jatra
A motorcycle police officer escorts foreign dignitaries away from the Kumari Jatra celebrations at Durbar Square, Kathmandu.
The Kumari Jatra festival coincides with the end of monsoon in Nepal and celebrates the Kumari, the living goddess. It is one of the few occasions the Kumari is seen in public.

Khil Raj Regmi – Kumari Jatra
Nepal’s Chairman of the High Level Political Mechanism (Political equivalent of Prime Minister) Khil Raj Regmi at Kumari Jatra festival celebrations which coincide with the end of monsoon. The celebrations take place at Dubar Square in Kathmandu with government and international dignitaries in attendance to pay homage to the Kumari, the living goddess.
